Along these lines, on <strong>March 10 and 17, 2025<\/strong>, two successful editions of <strong>partial nephrectomy and laparoscopic pyeloplasty<\/strong> course were held at the <strong>HM Sanchinarro Hospital<\/strong> (Madrid), with the participation of <strong>30 urologists<\/strong> from different cities in Spain.<\/p><h3>\u00a0<\/h3><h3><strong>A course designed to learn by doing<\/strong><\/h3><p>Each training day was carefully structured in two parts. The first consisted of a <strong>theoretical session<\/strong> given by three leading figures in urology in Spain: Dr. <strong>Vital Hevia Palacios<\/strong>, Dr. <strong>Gema Duque Ruiz<\/strong> and Dr. <strong>Ricardo Brime Men\u00e9ndez<\/strong>, urologists from <strong>ROC Clinic<\/strong> and <strong>HM Hospitales<\/strong>. Along these lines, on March 10 and 17, 2025, two successful editions of partial nephrectomy and laparoscopic pyeloplasty course were held at the HM Sanchinarro Hospital (Madrid), with the participation of 30 urologists from different cities in Spain. \u00a0 A course designed to learn by doing Each training day was carefully structured in two parts. The first consisted of a theoretical session given by three leading figures in urology in Spain: Dr. Vital Hevia Palacios, Dr. Gema Duque Ruiz and Dr. Ricardo Brime Men\u00e9ndez, urologists from ROC Clinic and HM Hospitales. During this phase, the anatomical fundamentals, surgical indications, operative techniques and possible complications of partial nephrectomy and pyeloplasty were addressed. \u00a0 The second part of the course was eminently practical, with a Hands-on session in which attendees were able to apply the knowledge acquired in a safe and controlled environment. For this purpose, the kidney models developed by Urology 3D, specifically designed to accurately simulate complex laparoscopic procedures, were used to do this. \u00a0 Technology at the service of surgical training The models used during the course represent a significant advance in the teaching of urological surgery. Thanks to their anatomical realism, response to surgical instruments and texture similar to human tissue, they allow professionals to practice techniques such as tumor resection, intracorporeal suturing and pyelocaliceal reconstruction with unprecedented fidelity. In addition, these models are vegan and sustainable, made without components of animal origin and with environmentally friendly materials. Not only does this eliminate the ethical and logistical risks associated with the use of biological tissues, but it also promotes more accessible, repeatable, and aligned training with the sustainability values we share at Urology 3D. A high-level collaboration This course has been possible thanks to the collaboration between Urology 3D, ROC Clinic and HM Hospitales Research Foundation, and has been sponsored by Casen Recordati, whose support has been key to bringing this training experience to a greater number of professionals.
